Tips for navigating Brussels Airport?
Hello:
I will be traveling solo to Brussels in April for work (first time traveling to Europe). I've heard the Brussels airport can be confusing as it is set up differently than U.S. airports. Can anyone give me any tips that will help me on the return trip to check-in/find my gate successfully? Thank you! |
They have a website in English at www.brusselsairport.be/
We flew in and out of there last May and experienced absolutely no problems or difficulties (except that the BA lounge did not have coca cola light). The airport is small, the signage is excellent and in many languages (including English), the employees are helpful and multi-lingual. There is train service available from the airport (station is on lower or lowest level of airport) to the three main stations in Brussels. Service is frequent and tickets are fairly cheap. Good luck. |
We flew into and out of Brussels last summer and I don't think there was anything confusing about it. Even with jet lag! If you are really concerned about finding your check-in point, you could look for it on arrival (before you leave the airport) and/or just leave a little extra time in case you would happen to have any trouble. If you are used to airports, I wouldn't think this one would throw you.

It's very easy to get around. Only, when you are flying from Brussels to most other European cities, there is a very long walk from check-in to the gate.

I think you've been misled. You can't go wrong. Believe me.
