Dawn, i have always looked at it half full. But to my defense...taking pictures in the Capel with a flash will harm it...not without a flash. I did NOT use a flash.

It's not a matter of whether it will harm it the Chapel or not. It's a matter of not having a right to take pictures of anything you like without permission. You explicitly did not have permission.

thurs...are you telling me that you have ever been given permission to speed? and please dont tell me you have never broke the speed limit in your life or never did something you weren't supposed to do. I'm not saying taking the pictures is right...but don't lecture me on bending the rules when no one is without fault.

This is a thread to give advice and personal experiences to people looking to travel...not a place to lecture on right and wrong when no one is without fault. People that seem to care so much about the Sistine Chapel need to remember it is a church...and with that goes the saying..."Judge not lest ye be judged." I'm not here to get in to a typing war with people that may not agree with me. My travels is exactly that...my travels.

Thanks heartofthesouth, I am also going to Rome in May and solo as is mimi052347. I am sure I'll get lost, butcher the beautiful language and pay too much for everything...but I am so excited. These threads are really helpful
