Tipping in France

Hi, all,
I know that in restaurants and cafes le service est compris, ie a tip is included. I usually leave the metal change as a gesture, however. But, what about everything else? I just can't remember... Taxis, or the hammam which I am looking forward to visiting, maybe even that first afternoon, to scrub off airplane fug. Where do ya'll tip or not?

I've heard it's not necessary to tip taxi drivers but others say to tip approximately 10%. Not sure about the hammam staff though.

Taxi drivers appreciate tips but don't necessarily expect them. I usually round up the fare a bit and that's their tip.

Restaurants include service in the bill; often the percentage is marked. Don't leave a tip unless you think they deserve more than the fixed percentage that you're already paying. Restaurants do not expect you to leave a tip and won't be offended if you don't.

I tip taxi drivers but not too much. Hamman isn't sure.

I do leave a bit with bars and restaurants. Certainly I don't tip owners though. The word used in French for Pourboire, which is the tip. Literally this means "for drinking" and normally it's enough to pay the price of a normal drink. I leave a few euros at a bar and maybe 5 euros for the waiter.

As a poor student living in France, I never tip anywhere unless I am planning on coming back regularly therefore I am afraid taxis get no tip.
