Timing of Paris trip

I'm planning a trip to Paris in May. Am just about ready to book airfare from May 14 - 23. Does anyone know of anything going on in Paris during that timeframe I should be aware of that would impact my ability to book hotel rooms, etc? Thanks!

May has a lot of national holidays in it, at least 3, I think.
You might want to check the holiday dates as some attractions and shops may be closed.

The national holidays (in May) are May 1 (Labor day and Ascension), May 8 (V-E Day), and May 11 (Pentecost). So it likes you are in the clear in that regard.

However, I will be in Paris May 7 - 14 (possible day trip to Versailles on Friday May 9), overlapping V-E Day and Pentecost weekend. If anyone knows what I should expect on those holidays, I'd appreciate it also.
