Timing in Rome, Florence & Venice

Hi flks,
I know there have been a million posts about this - I'm sorry to ask again but here I go!
Please let me know if this makes "sense" - thanks!
Rome - 4 days and 4 nights.
Leave for Florence on early morning of 5th day. Spend 2 full days and nights in Florence.
Venice - Leave on early morning of 7th day and take train to Venice. 5 full days and nights in Venice (My Aunt lives there - we will spend a few days in Venice and take a few days trips)
Travel back to Rome on 12th day via train - spend last night in Rome - near Termini Station and leave early next day for New York. lt;
Does this seem OK?
TIA!!!

yes i have been to all three with less days than that on my hands. the usual advice is to fly open jaw to avoid the last train trip, but you have probably already found the best flight deals.parts of the termini square are a bit seedy so research on your hotel before you choose

This would work for me...For your last night, try the Hotel Sonya across from the Opera House. Good rates, not the seedy side of Termini that Komrad correctly observes is a potential problem. For a really authentic Roman dining experience go to the Abruzzesse Ristoranti right round the corner from the hotel. Few tourists, excellent food.

Agree there is no reason to stay near the train station your last night - a taxi can whisk you from the historical center to the train station in 5-10 minutes.

We did almost the same thing. (Came back 2 days ago)
3 nights in Rome (it was enough for us), then drove to Tuscany, stopped in Orvieto. Stayed in Chianti for 3 days (wish we stayed longer!), explored the hill towns of Tuscany. Drove to Florence, stayed 4 nights there (took a day trip to Chinque Terre). 2 days in Florence is a good minimum. Then Eurostar train to Venice, 4 nights there. Then back to NY. We had an open jaw. If had to plan my trip again, I would took one day off Florence and added it to Chianti.
Good luck!

Sounds wonderful. You have time to do all the things you want and not be exhuasted. I;m sure you are going to San Marco Square..you have probably been there many times since you have a relative in Venice. I am trying to find a way to get the name of a jewelry shop there. I know exactly where it is but not the name. Any ideas? I've tried googleing. I'm living in the regret of not buying a piece I wanted so hope to do it from home. Thanks.

There are three jewelry stores on Piazza San Marco listed in the Italian Yellow Pages.

Bravin Renato & C. S.a.s. oreficeria Argenteria
119, PIAZZA S. MARCO

Missiaglia gioielleria
125, PIAZZA S. MARCO

Vesco & Sambo S.n.c. gioielleria
102/103, PIAZZA S. MARCO

The first seems to do not only jewelry but also gold and silver objects.

If you go to

www.paginegialle.it

and put in the name of each, you can click on "Mappa interattiva" to see the location. You can also enlarge the map by clicking on the + sign.

I picked up some nomination charms in a nice little jewelry shop on Piazza San Marco. Shop name on the receipt is LARA S.A.S. and they are at San Marco 91.

If you are standing in the Piazza at the farthest point from the Basilica, looking at it, this shop is about 8-10 stores down on the left hand side, the last shop on the corner before the very first left out of the Piazza.

I think that is exactly where it was.
Thanks, any phone number on that receipt?
