timing for winter flight reservations

I'm planning to go to Rome in Feb. from Columbus OH. Right now I can get a round trip for $699 which seems great to me. Any idea if this is the cheapest the winter fares will be or should I book now? I appreciate any and all advice.

I'd grab it now. That's a good price - no one can say for sure whether fares will go up or down these days - and you're only a few weeks from leaving.

I agree. Can't imagine finding anything lower. My only hesitation might depend on which airline. There are some I'd avoid at the moment for various reasons, like A'Italia, but that's a personal choice.

That's a great price from Ohio. I wouldn't expect to find better and you might get worse. I would take it, but I too would hesitate about Alitalia or Air One.

Hi M,

That's a good price. However, www.kayak.com is offering $640.

The prices are the same, but the connections might be better for you.

What is your connection? I fly from Columbus and that is a great price--just getting to the east coast often costs a couple of hundred.

May we ask what airline and route?

Depending on your departure date, US Airways has a flight from Columbus to Rome for $629. Check www.usairways.com. We are flying from Dallas to Rome in February for $626 on US Air. This is the least I have ever paid for a ticket to Europe.
