Timing feedback for Norway/Sweden Fall trip

I'm looking to take my wife on a 2 week trip to Norway/Sweden this fall. The current plan is:
  • fly into Oslo and spend a few days
  • take train to Bergen
  • take a 3 day/2 night Hurtigruten cruise up to Trondheim to see a few fjords
  • fly from Trodheim to Stockholm
  • spend a few days in Stockholm
  • fly home
We're currently looking at the following weeks:
  • Sept 10 - 22
  • Sept 17 - 29
  • Sept 24 - Oct 6
Originally we had planned on doing this mid to late October but then learned the weather and fall colors would probably be better in September. Any thoughts on which of the dates above would be better? It may be somewhat splitting hairs...but just looking for input.
Thanks

I was a bit surprised to get no responses to this at all. I'm assuming that must be because there really isn't a difference between these times.

It appears Sept 24-Oct 6 is the winner. Our current plan has us in Oslo Sept 26-28 and Stockholm Oct 2-5. Are there any issues you see with those dates? Large festivals, national holidays, etc?

Thank you

Unless colors are better sometime earlier the better I would think for weather which can deteriorate quickly I understand as fall goes on. Leaves hues may be dependent on what kind of weather they've been having.

You probably know to book trains early for discounts - Oslo-Bergen - www.seat61.com has lots on doing that - general info trains BETS-European Rail Experts and www.ricksteves.com.
