time to travel from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon

I call upon the expert travelers once again. My wife and I are traveling this September from Orlando to London and then to Dijon via Paris. I have booked a great fare on the Eurostar from London to Paris ($100 round trip) and plan on taking the RER D to Gare de Lyon and catching a TGV to Dijon. Since the fares seem to be heavily discounted with advance purchase: how long should I allow to get from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon and on the train? The RER should take 14 minutes. I am looking at arriving in Gare du Nord on the Eurostar at 11.47am and departing the Gare de Lyon at 14:53. Does this sound doable? I believe the tickets on the TGV can be printed at home. If I have to change to a different train, how difficult is that? It is hard to tell from the Raileurope website.

Many thanks,

Heck, you could walk it with that much time. On the RER D, it should take about 10-15 minutes.

Don't use RailEurope to buy a ticket from Paris to Dijon unless you want to throw money out the window. Use www.voyages-sncf.com or www.tgv-europe.com.

It is funny that I can find a price on RailEurope but when I enter it in either voyages-sncf or tgv-europe, it doesn't come up with a trip? Maybe its too early? This is for September 20, 2012.

You must be doing something wrong. Are you using the Paris (all stations) setting on www.voyages-sncf.com ?

racer, you're right. I'm getting messages on both sites that there aren't any trains on the 20th (no matter what times I put in). That's so strange! It shouldn't be too early at all. I don't know how to explain it!

BTW, yes, I used the Paris, toutes gares option.

Strange. It is still early, so I will keep trying. Thanks for the advice.
