How long does it take to get from Munich to Zurich using the train?

Go to "http://mercurio.iet.unipi.it/misc/timetabl.html" and check the Swiss time table (SBB). Just put in your 2 cities and it will give you various times depending on departure time. Have fun planning.

If you haven't found out already, the train takes 4 hrs and 15 minutes (no changes) and direct services depart Munich at least four times daily...the best service is probably ICE #196 which leaves around 8:12 AM..but if you aren't using a pass it requires a supplement..the other trains do not and get there in about the same length of time...the ICE rolling stock is more modern inside and out.

Although there are many trains to Zürich
from Munich, the one at 8:12 is the quickest one in the morning. The 9:32 departure takes an hour longer and requires one change in Stuttgart.
