Time Elevator Roma - Worth a visit?

Hi

I'm currently reading Fodor's "Around Rome with Kids" and one of the things to do is visit the Time Elevator Roma. It sounds like it might be a good way to introduce my kids to Roman history. I was thinking of making that one of our first stops, and then visiting the places (colosseum, forum, etc.) that they had just learned about.

Has anyone been to the Time Elevator? What were your impressions? Was it worth the expense?

Thanks much - Kat

Has anyone been there?

Will I be the first one to visit it?

Just in case anyone is interested, my sons, 14 and 10, loved going here. It was a good introduction to Roman history and they had something recent to relate to when we visited the actual sites.

We saw the Time Elevator in June with our 12-year-old and 14-year-old. It was a nice way to spend 45 minutes in air conditioning. Our kids liked the game you play before entering the actual film, but the film itself was disappointing. Both of our kids said that it did not tell enough history. They were especially disappointed that the film did such a short snippet on the Colosseum.
We were walking and had to ask several people before we found the place -- it is on a side street, but not far from the Spanish Steps.
Hope this helps.
Pam B.
