Time Difference & Lodging
Please don' snicker, what is the time difference between London and New York?
Does anyone have a suggestion for a moderately priced B & B near Gatwick for Oct. 1? Thanks |
5 hours ahead (BTW this information is in the front section of every phone book in the US)
|
If you are going to be traveling around Oct. 1, you need to know that the US and Britain don't always change to and from daylight savings time on the same schedule.
|
But what's October 1 got to do with it?
Western Europe and the US both put their clocks back on the last Sunday in October. From memory, the difference affects spring: Europe puts its clocks forward on the last Sunday in March, and the US uses the first Sunday in April. But on this, my memory might be failing. |
Thanks for the info on the time difference. I will be leaving from Gatwick on October 2 and would like some suggestions for a place to stay the night of Oct. 1 |
Hi Xena
We stayed at the Gatwick Belmont House in Horley. http://www.gatwickbelmont.com/. There are many B&B's in this town that will take you to the airport. |
Thanks Ira
