Time at Gatwick before train to Bath
 

I am flying into Gatwick at 12:50 on a Saturday. I would like to save money and purchase an advance train ticket. How much time should I plan for customs and baggage claim before boarding a train to Bath? Do you think we could make a 15:03 train? Or would you suggest waiting until 16:03?

I always allow an hour from landing to passing through customs.

Is the train you are booking originating at Gatwick at 15:03 (I think you will need to change to a train that leaves from Paddington to Bath...I think). I would say you need to book the train leaving Gatwick no less than 1 hour - preferably a bit longer from Gatwick to make it...

You can book trains from Gatwick to Bath via Reading so you avoid central London

You should be able to book a ticket that doesn't commit you to a particular train - but it might cost a bit more.
