Time

Any recommendations on renting a villa/apartment along the Amalfi coast?
We are taking our honeymoon to Italy in September.

abram Feb 26th, 2006 09:15 AM

My recommendation would be to re-post with something like "looking for villa/apartment along Amalfi coast in September" rather than "time" which doesn't mean anything.

Good luck!

This is truly a CLASSIC title!!!

"Money"

Am I the only one thinking about Pink Floyd? ;)

wanderlust5 Feb 26th, 2006 11:34 AM

Hilarious. Thanks for the giggles everyone. Posts like this become the "classics" we all refer to and laugh about for years...!

wanderlust5 Feb 26th, 2006 11:35 AM

And being a music person, I immediately, upon seeing the title of this post, thought of:

Time in a Bottle

Time, Time, Time, see what's become of me...as I look around at my possiblities..(Hazy Shade of Winter)

and various other "time" songs.

should we just give maddog the prize and close the competition????

starrsville Feb 26th, 2006 12:10 PM

maddog only has 3 threads left and all since 1 this afternoon.

It would seem that time is not on his side.

Shortly to disappear into the night?

starrsville Feb 26th, 2006 12:11 PM

Could maddog be a red_dog in transit?

wanderlust5 Feb 26th, 2006 07:00 PM

Your musical replies to my input are greatly appreciated, and brought back lots of wonderful song memories. Thanks for the giggles!

Sorry tonda, bad timing, I was referring to Chicago again.

After logging off last night I kept hearing that song in my head from Mary Poppins:

Step in time, Step in time

I dreamt of chimney sweeps all night. :-(

All are Architects of Fate,
Working in these Walls of Time,
Some with Massive deeds, and Great,
Some with Ornaments of Rhyme.

Nothing Useless is, or Low,
And each Thing in its Place is Best,
And what seems but idle Show,
Strengthens and Supports the rest.

Those are the first two stanze of my favorite poem, "the Builders" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

It is what I live by and it is about TIME more people heard it.

Tuff crowd. :-)

Don't give up, maddog. You'll get some bites on your other threads.

You'll enjoy the Amalfi Coast during September. Good luck. ((b))

And love, so brief.
Love is pure gold,
And time, a thief.

P_M Feb 27th, 2006 08:55 AM

"Time flies."

I've been hearing that my entire life and I just can't make any sense of it. Most flies buzz around so fast, you would need a really good stop watch to time them accurately. And what's the point anyway? Is there a contest to see which fly is the fastest to get to the garbage or the pile of dog poop? Sorry, but I see no reason to time flies, and I wish people would quit telling me to do that!!

Oh, never mind, but thanks for letting me vent. I've wasted too much time on this thread already. :-(
