Timber pond street London - is it safe

Hi...I have got immense help from this site in the past...have had very hectic last couple of months...with school applications...and now packing and wrapping up.

We made my first trip to London and Switzerland in June...and loved it so much that we started looking for options to relocate to Europe...luckily I applied for my masters and have been accepted at London School of Economics. My husband too has been given a transfer and will be joining me a couple of months later.

Till my husband joins me I am looking for a flatshare...I have got one in Canada Water...the owner says its 8 mins to Canada Water and Rotherhite station...and is on the Timber pond street.

Would any of you know if it is a safe area for a single female...

Thanks...
Genie

It's actually Timber Pond ROAD - please get things like that correct or you could end up a dozen miles away from where you want to be

My comment is why on earth would you want to travel 45 minutes EACH WAY every time you go to to the LSE - or does it have a Canada Water Campus that I don't know about?

I'd be having a word with the LSE accommodation office as they'll have places a lot closer to the campus.

As for the Canada Water area, it's pretty safe, take the usual precautations...

Thanks a lot Alan...for the correction...the problem is that all the LSE accommodation is given out for the whole term...ie. 51 weeks...where as I need a place for just 2 months.

That is why I am having a problem finding a place. My budget is 150 pounds/week...and am unable to find anything closer...

Ignore the last link as that's for placing an Ad - but Time Out Magazine is a very good source of flatshares
