Tickts for Bullfighting, Sevilla during April Fair!

Hi,

My husband and I are trying to get 2 tickets to watch the bullfight during the April fair time (April 21st to April 25th) at Seville. I checked at https://www.plazadetorosdelamaestranza.com/, looks like the tickets are not yet available there. Can someone please confirm that since I do not understand Spanish.

Aslo, I don't want to wait until I get to Seville because I read that the tickets get sold very quickly during the April fair season. I came across other websites where tickets are available (though not for April yet) such as http://tauroentrada.com/index.php?cPath=2718_2719, but the ticket prices looked expensive.

Any idea at what prices the cheaper tickets sell for and how to get them? Lastly, when can I get the tickets for the April fair season?

Can someone please help!!

Thanks a lot.

So you want tickets to one of the biggest bullfighting events in Spain and you're looking for a bargain. Think Vancouver 2010 Olympics and then add a few euros to the price.

The festival normally starts 2 weeks after Semana Santa (Holy Week). Opening day will be the most expensive, regardless of the where the seats are.

Looking at this years prices, the barrera 1 (the best seats) Abono tickets (sections 1,2,3,4,5&7) are priced at €3496/each, or about $4800 USD. Tendido tickets are priced starting at €2048/each or about $2800 USD. Tickets go on sale on 6 March. Abono tickets are the complete series, which is what most people purchase. If you are looking to buy tickets for only one day, you can expect to pay anywhere from a low of €150 EUR (sol seats) to 500+ EUR, depending on who’s fighting that day.

ENRIQUE PONCE, Manuel Jesus "EL CID"and ALEJANDRO TALAVANTE fight on the 21st. Manuel Diaz "EL CORDOBES", RIVERA ORDOÑEZ and David Fandila "EL FANDI, fight on the 24th. Jose P. Prados "EL FUNDI", JUAN JOSE PADILLA and RAFAELILLO on the 25th. These will be the most expensive tickets during your time in Sevilla.

Thanks a lot Robert2533 for your response.

I cannot believe that the tickets will be so expensive. I wanted to see bullfighting for an experience and thought it would be around $75 or so per person for the SOL tickets.

Try the 22nd or 23rd. There should be an official ticket booth outside the bullring. You might be able to buy scalper tickets just before the bullfights begin. The scalpers are not that hard to spot, but they are always on the move because of the undercover police who also work the crowd.

Thanks for your reply Robert253. As a followup question, I did find tickets for 36 euros per person on http://www.divento.com/show.aspx?l=EN&show_id=5010&t=0 for 04/23/2010, which is way lower than the lowest price (150 euros) you mentioned. Can tickets be for such a low price esp for the April fair bullfights? In other words, isn't this a steal for the bullfight event?

Please help.

Thanks.

According to the regular ticket outlets, the tickets have not been released. Since I have no idea who divento.com is, I don't know what they're selling, but based on the price, they would be seats in the upper level, in the sun.

The cartel on the 23rd features Miguel Angel Perera with bulls from the Fuente Ymbro ranch.

What's the use? If people are willing to pay all that to see somebody called Ponce then there's no hope.

Why should it be cheap to watch an animal being taunted, painfully wounded and killed? For that kind of sick fun, you should expect to cough up. You do need help.

Wasn't that the bullfighter formerly known as Ponce?

How does this in dixieland

http://georgiasharkfishing.com/wp-co...9/imgp0760.JPG

Differ from this in paella land

http://www.world-guides.com/images/s...bullfight3.jpg

at least the bulls are bred to fight and their numbers are under control.

Ponce?! What wrong with Ponce? I wish I could have a middle name Ponce (or Pepe) but it is too late to make a change since I am no longer in my 20s.

Catchglee, hope you already had your answer.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Ponce

So it is somewhat unfortunate for Sr Ponce.
