Hi. Just picked this up. It's a bloody nightmare trying to buy tickets before you get there! There are many rip-off merchants on-line, the bullring doesn't even let you buy online. So I just go there and check tickets every day at the booking office. I think they are also involved in the scam because they will tell you 'everything is sold' if you want to book a few days in advance. What this means is they have reserved tickets for friends, family or touts but if you turn up at 6.00 pm (when they open) you can usually get something (returned by someone who was unable to sell it?) on the day! Last year I got to see El Juli (twice) in the pissing rain - inc the big one when Queen (Reina) Sofia was in the Royal Box. And I only paid normal prices - around 35 euros for a pretty decent seat but if all else fails you will have to buy off the touts. I'm going yet again this year - see you there! (hotmail me!)

PS: Anybody got any other ideas on buying sensibly priced tickets in advance? I also have some good contacts for budget accommodation in the area but if you really want to do it on a budget (and have a car) the local underground parking is cheap as chips so you could leave the car/van in there all week & sleep in it!

PPS: Don't forget you will need a soft cushion (preferably inflatable), a warm coat (plastic ponchos are best), an umbrella (to keep off the rain, or the sun), a camera - and at least a litre of Vino Tinto - per person! (I have many happy memories to take back to Tenerife every year!). Enjoy! X
