tickets forAlhambra in Granada
 

I have purchased tickets online through the Servi Caixa ticket service website for the Alhambra in Granada for September. Has anyone used this service and picked up their tickets a day or two earlier at their ticket kiosk? The reason being I want to get my tickets beforehand as I have a tight daily schedule on the day of admittance. Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you CAN pick up your tickets in advance.

In any case, you pick up your prepaid ticket from any of the self-service kiosks. They are located in a structure apart from the regular ticket office. The lines are usually for the ticket office but not for the kiosks. Therefore, if you arrive a bit early, you should not have any problems retrieving your tickets as you shouldn't be stuck in any sort of lines.

I was there in June and you could pick up tickets the day before (I think you can pick them up any time but don't know for sure.) but keep in mind that the ticket counter closes an hour before the rest of the Alhambra closes.

thank you for the prompt reply. I have to drop off my rental car the same morning - an hour before I go to the Alhambra- therefore I can get my tickets a day early and not be rushed!

You can only retrieve your ticket in the afternoon and evening of the day before (not in the morning), when the ticket office is open. Go to a bank of ServiCaixa machines in the glass-fronted building next to the ticket counter, and swipe the card you've used for booking - the machine should then print out your tickets, with bar codes.

It's always a good idea to book ahead...unfortunately it is impossible to get the tickets the day before. You'll have to get the tickets on the same day. If it can help there is a ticket machine where you can withdraw the tickets with your booking number (to avoid the main queue).

Last month I managed to print out tickets bought online on the day before my visit by going to Alhambra ticket office. I inserted my card and used touch screen in a ServiCaixa machine located in a glass-fronted building about 50 yards to the right of ticket office.
