Ticket in Italy

Does anyone know what driving in a non circulating zone is in Italy?
I don't have a clue?
i have never driven where someone else wasn't driving yeton two different trips i have tickets driving in a non cirulating zoneboth times showed up a year later for$250.00 each.
Anyone have a clue? Just plane on going back in a couple of years and don't want to repeat this ticket The tickets were on two separate trips.

Not sure but it sounds like you were caught on camera driving in a limited traffic zone (LTZ).

Did you drive into some town, drop off luggage at your hotel, then park outside the walls? If so, the hotel should have provided the local police with your license plate number so the police could delete your info from the film so you wouldn't receive a ticket.

Hello Venezia, you were no doubt driving in a zone that is not allowed except for vehicles owned by residents I would imagine. Lots of threads here on Fodor's by visitors to Italy that have also received a ticket months after they depart Italy. They also tend to get a bill attached to their credit card by the rental car agency, the charge is for supplying the local agency regarding the information of the person that rented the vehicle so that a ticket can be sent to said person. Italy has cameras take take pictures of vehicles in no driving zones or that are speeding or breaking the law in other ways.
