Thistle Bloomsbury

Does anyone have any experience with this Thistle Hotel? They are running a special and I am curious about the quality of the hotel (the location looks great). Catalana

Not that one, but my boss stayed at the Thistle Royal Horseguards a few weeks ago, right on the Thames, near Parliament. He said it was a phenomenal hotel and well located. Also, he got the Thistle special "dollars = pounds" (eg. if the quote was 70 pounds, you paid only $70USD).

Royal Horseguards, 2 Whitehall Court,
London, SW1A 2EJ
Reception: 0870 333 9122
Fax: 0870 333 9222
http://www.thistlehotels.com/hotel_d....jhtml?id=7647
I stayed there in May 2000 -- and was delighted with both the accomodations and services. The price was really reasonable and the location couldn't be beat. Only a block away from the British Museum, a short walk to Covent Gardens, many good restaurants nearby --- and a major bus line stopped right outside the door. Haven't stayed at any other Thistle hotel but would definitely recommend this one.

We stayed there in March 2001,chose it because of the location and we liked it very much. Very clean, quiet, the buffet breakfast was very nice (we had an American Airlines hotel/air package that included b'fast.)The room was tiny but the bath was large with a big soaking tub (great after walking miles in 40 degree damp weather every day)
I would definately stay there again.
