"ROME – Twenty-first century laser technology has opened a window into the early days of the Catholic Church, guiding researchers through the dank, musty catacombs beneath Rome to a startling find: the first known icons of the apostles Peter and Paul."

Just another reason to return some day!

Maitaitom, my Roman Son-in-law has said many times that they can't dig up anything in Rome without finding something underneath the city streets and buildings. I think that is what has slowed down the new subway line that has been planned if memory serves me right. Rome, the city of secrets until they are unearthed. Thanks for posting the website! Cincin.

There is already more to see in Rome than any other place I have visited. And they keep uncovering new stuff. Fascinating.
