These Hotels In Paris?
 

Have two friends looking to take advantage of a package deal to Paris for 7 nights. The price is pretty good, but I am not all familar with the hotels. Any feedback on the following?

Going just on location I'd pick Mouffetard, St Romain or Campanile

the Hotel Comfort Mouffetard is a good place to stay, clean, comfortable, in a great location. You can walk to several places very easily. Close to good food, the Blvd St. Micheal, I can say enough good. DB

Since no one will have stayed at multiples on your list to compare them, it would be best to go read reviews at Tripadvisor -AND- locate each of these on a Google map of Paris. Several of them are not very centrally located (if being central is important).
Particularly Hotel Lamarck, La Manufacture Hotel, and Campanile Paris XV Tour Eiffel... nothing wrong with their neighborhoods, just will require more time on metro/bus to get to the 'sights'.

If you decide to stay at Comfort Inn Moufftard be sure to ask for a room on the back. Lots of noise from the street early in the morning. We stayed there years ago(in August) and it did not have AC. The location is good with metro Monge a block away.

We stayed at the Roncerey 7 years ago. I loved the location at the Passage Jeffroy (sp). The metro is literally right outside the door. You can feel it rumbling at times. There is a little place to eat in the passage called Valentine's which is a favorite of mine. I think the staying on rue Mouffatard (which I love) would be a tad too noisy for us.

From the Roncerey we walked to the Department stores, the opera, Hediard's and of course the Louvre and Rue Di Rivoli.

Ask for a room on the 2nd floor. The rooms on the 5th are like little Garrets.

For me, going by location, I would prefer Louvre Saint Romain Hotel, followed by Ronceray Opera. (I think Ronceray Opera is a Mercure hotel, unless that has changed.) But read the reviews on TripAdvisor and other sources.

What is the total price for airfare plus hotel for the 7 days (and how many nights does that mean), including taxes? By using discount sites, I am usually able to beat package prices.

I've seen the Comfort on Mouffetard, and I agree, that could be noisy if you were on the front. I don't know what the room quality is like, it's a fairly small hotel. the Manufacture is near place d'Italie and I've read good things about it, for its level. It's not a terrible location, I'd rather stay there than up in MOntmartre or near gare de l'Est, but it's not the most exciting place, either. I wouldn't choose that Campanile called Eiffel Tower. It's near Dupleix metro in an area I find rather dull, but I guess it could be worse. That metro line isn't so convenient, you'd have to transfer a lot (or walk to Bir Hakeim, which isn't a particularly pleasant location IMO), whereas several go through place d'Italie.

I stayed at the St Romain on rue St Roch a very long time ago. The location is superb, imo, a couple of blocks to the Tuileries metro stop, a couple of blocks farther to the Concorde stop, several blocks in the other direction to the Louvre entrance on rue de Rivoli. If you like staying in the 1st arrondissement, it's great.
Back when I stayed there, the St Romain was plain and utilitarian, clean but certainly not charming, but I was only staying one night. I'd check out more recent comments about the accommodations; one hopes they've been upgraded.
