There's a scene in "Roman Holiday"...
Do you recall the scene in Roman Holiday where they came upon a wall that had hundreds of plaques on it? The plaques were put there by people whose prayers or wishes were granted. Does this wall really exists and if so, where in Rome is it? It certainly wasn't in our guidebook.

sandurravelnut,
The sanctuary is called Santuario della Madonna del Divino Amore, is located in Via Ardeatina, 12 km from Rome. |
"The Wall of Wishes" was torn down many years ago.

Also, what is the name of the restaurant that had frescos where they had drinks please.

I found a trip report last week on slow trav called "The Roman Holiday Holiday" - since you liked the movie, you'll probably enjoy this report. I've tried to link it here - we'll see if the link works (if not, go to trip reports at slowtrav.com).
