There is too much to see in Scotland

Thanks to many people on this site my wife and I have finally settled on an itinerary for our first visit to Scotland this summer. This has been a difficult task because, as we got into it, we realized there is just too much to see and only so much time.

So Sheila, Janis, Craig and others, thanks very much for your help. But, may I humbly suggest that you contact your representatives and see about dismantling some of your sites and shipping them to Australia so visitors will have an easier time deciding where to go!

:)

Ah - but better to see SOME than none at all - eh?

Ah but Nelson, you have Tasmania...

True, Janis very true.

PatrickLondon, funny you should mention Tasmania. That has been on our short list of places to visit for a few years now. No kidding. Now, if we could just pop into a Scottish castle while we are there...

That's ok, too much to see, it will make you want to go back again.

I had the good fortune to visit Tasmania a few years ago, and a lot of the scenery, particularly on the wilder side, is much like Scotland. I get the impression the weather probably is too.....

I would like to visit Australia, but the thought of being cooped up for hours in a tin can puts me off.
How about towing Australia up here and parking it in the Atlantic.
It would just about squeeze in and people could drive across it to visit the US.

I live in Glasgow, and as a child I visited various parts of Scotland with my family....The place that I loved more than any other was The Trossachs...But I wonder if I did the trips as an adult as to whether I would choose other places....You see,as an adult I climbed Ben Lomond.....Some of the views that you saw going up were mind-blowing,like the kind of spectacular views that you saw in some Scottish films like Braveheart.(although I have heard that Braveheart was filmed in Ireland).....
