Suggestions for tour of Normandy landing beaches
We would like to find a guided full day tour of the Normandy landing beaches while in the North of France this September. We will be in Bayeux for two days

You might enjoy Overload Tours (www.overlordtour.com) or one of the others that are based in Bayeux.

We used this guide several years ago. He was excellent!!! We did the one day tour, but the tour was so good we really wished we had done the two day tour. This was with our teenage daughter as well as my mom, so that is kind of telling

We spent a great day with Dale Booth a few years ago when he worked for Battlebus; he now has his own Normandy tour company:

As you will see if looking on Dale Booth's site, you really can't hit all the beaches in one day.
Utah and Omaha are where the Americans landed. Omaha is more accessible and more interesting and has the American cemetery. The cemetery has some excellent information on the offensives and the campaigns that followed.
Gold, Juno, and Sword are where the Brits/Canadians and French/Brits landed. Gold beach encompasses Arromanches, which has the largest museum and the berms that the British established in advance to help the landing.
Sword will be a bit far from Bayeux.
And you won't be able to swing a dead cat without hitting a monument or memorial.

My husband and I took a tour with Overlord two years ago (end of May 2014) and stayed a couple nights in Bayeux. The tour was fantastic. What I especially liked was the human interest stories our guide shared all along the way, in the various towns we visited. We still rave about it and share the stories with others when the topic comes up. Our guide's name was Collin, and he was from Ireland or Scotland, I think. We only had five or six in our group. It was simply perfect.

I used NOrmandy Sightseeing Tours and thought they were excellent. My group probably had about 6-8 people in it.
