The Seine: The River That Made Paris

Just finished a fascinating book by Elaine Sciolino: The Seine, The River That Made Paris. She traces the history of the river and all the interesting places along it. Aside from being a well-researched book, it would be a good resource for repeat visitors to France looking for some new territory to explore. She will be speaking at the American Library in Paris in January 2020 for those of you who will be there at that time.

She'll also be speaking to the Earful Tower Book club in December. It's a facebook group that's open to all. Her talk will be broadcast live, probably on YouTube. I am hoping to be there.
