Hi CAPH52...Just "googled" the film location, and the author of the review said it was filmed in Nova Scotia. Could be--it's been awhile since I watched this movie,I will have to see it again! Helen

CAPH52, All I could come up with from Googling was County Donegal. Now I also want to know where in Donegal. It was a beautiful film and story. Regards, Joan

My daughter and I watched it the other night and I noticed there was a mention of Donegal in the credits. But no specific location in Donegal. So I was curious.

I'd challenge you to find a square inch of Donegal that isn't breathtaking. But I'm partial.

I just had to add that this is also one of my daughter's and my favorite films. We were just talking about it a few weeks ago, too.

What a fabulous film. I agree. Love that strong girl character! And the grandmother! And the great music , too. Think I need to go rent... no ... buy that one!
