The Roma Pass

I printed the PDF file for the Roma Pass Guide. My question is this: Does the pass include entrance to the Colosseum? To me, the information just isn't that clear.

The file states: Colosseo/Palatino (cumulative ticket Anfiteatro Flavio and Palatino and Museo Palatino). "This archaeological area is the heart of the ancient city. Here you may admire an impressive stratification of historical and artistic memories testifying to the life and development of ancient Rome." Huh?

The Colosseum is the Flavian Amphitheater, and one ticket gives entry into both the Colosseum and the Palatine hill, so if the pass covers Colosseo/Palatino, the answer is yes.

Now that I chased Goofy off my screen, I can respond:

Thanks kayd!

I agree that it's a little confusing. The general info says, "The pass....entitles holders to: free admission to the first two museums and/or archaeological sites visited withour queuing,.....and discounts for any other following museums and sites visited....."
The "Colosseo/Palatino" is one of the 41 museums and sites listed. So, I would assume that the answer is yes.
I also notice that Galleria Borghese is also included on the list!
For anyone interested, the website for the Roma Pass is:

HowardR,

In my opinion, a lot of the verbiage in the guide is clumsy and somewhat difficult to interpret, i.e. not concise.

I agree. Inferring that the Galleria Borghese is included is sort of in the "too good to be true" department!

I'm emailing my Roman friend today, asking about the Roma Pass. I'll pass along his response.

My Roman friend responded. Though he didn't know all the specifics, he said it was a good deal. He also added that there is no need to buy one in advance (though I never asked that question!).

HowardR,

I just got back to my computer, and read your message. Thank you so much for contacting your Italian friend about the Roma Pass.

It's beginning to sound like it has merit and value.

My main question remains: Will the Roma Pass include admission to Galleria Borghese as we have inferred? Oh well, since I have someone in Roman to lean on, I'll not be concerned now. Still, if anyone finds out, let us know!
One of the other benefits of the pass will be discounts on an array of theatrical-type events. The website now lists the schedule for the next few weeks only. So, you have to keep checking for your dates if this interests you.
