The Ritz can it be booked for less Than Published Price?

Thinking of going to Paris for a week next July. Can we book into The Ritz for less than the published price of 700 euros per night?

Hi Bobby,

You can always call direct and offer them 350 E and see what happens.

I did this once with a hotel in Key West and they took me up on it.

I'm sure you probably can, I just got a quote for 590 euro (standard double) without even trying much with a couple words into Google -- and that was for early October, high season. July wouldn't be higher, and probably lower.

I used www.all-hotels.com. I think they also are on Utell. These are the kind of things some travel agents are good at, actually, if you routinely book deluxe hotels. Or so I've heard.

I emailed the Ritz directly and asked them to give me their "best rate." They came back with a lower rate than that quoted on their website, then I negotiated a slightly larger room. I then confirmed the rate and the reservation about a week before my trip. A good experience, it took a few days for us to finalize it--calling would be better if you are in a hurry. Do not worry about speaking/not speaking French their English is absolutely perfect.

I frequently see rates for the Ritz on Expedia and Hotels.com in the low $500- range.I would start checking these sites early next year.
There are also many lovely hotels offered on these sites.
Best of luck
Fluffy
