Beautiful video Mimi, thank you for posting it!! Family members spent a lot of time in Lucca this summer as they have some cousins that live there, my stepson even had his birthday dinner in Lucca which lasted from 8:30pm to 1:30am! They were well fed, lol. And how they all enjoyed the food of Lucca!

We were hoping to keep Lucca OUR secret -:)

When my daughter (now aged 23)saw the picture of Gigi she said "that looks familiar" and when she open the page in full, just laughed! (Part of our Sun NYT is delivered on Sat)She and I visited Lucca for the day in both May 2002 and 2003. Both years we did a Club ABC Montecatini vacation and loved our day trips to Lucca!

Lovely post, cigalechanta. Refreshing compared with a post I read on another board where the OP wouldn't link the NYTimes article they were so upset everyone and their mother would now know about Lucca. I've been reading about Lucca for years I really didn't understand the issue.

Thanks for the article. We were there last week! Went to Buca di Saint Antonio, though.

I second his rec of Giglio. I had lunch here on a day trip a few years ago and loved every morsel.
