No. Once again, you fail to grasp the obvious. There is nothing generally rude about Americans. There is simply a deep-seated dislike for you. I know that it is easier to assume that your failings are the fault of others, but it isn't the case. You are simply an insufferable person. It has nothing to do with nationality.

Broad, sweeping generalizations are not a sign of intelligence but rather a sign of ingnorance. A statement like this leads me to discount the value of anything the poster has to say because its nothing but senseless negativity and ignorance.

Here's a newsflash, this is a travel forum, for people who travel, you know, for fun? People here want to share information and have fun traveling. There's little room for cultural barbs and it offers nothing of value to the people on this forum. Sure, tell a funny or annoying story or two, personal experience is one thing, but don't just generalize a certain trait to an entire culture, that's just ignorant.

Additionally, I don't recall anyone asking for your help in this thread.

most americans are overly paranoid about doing the wrong thing, wearing the wrong thing, saying the wrong thing, talking at the wrong volume, etc. therefore, they tend to be very cautious and well behaved due to their inferiority complex.

europeans don't care. our women will happily go topless in thailand and other places where it is culturally taboo (as already mentioned on this thread). we don't care. we've been conquering the world for centuries. britons happily get drunk all over the place, we'll fight and demand our fish and chips all over the world. it's our right.

we'll pave over every beach in southern europe and litter it with fish and chip shops. even our people on benefits can afford to holiday in these poor countries. our food is so great that we eat it everywhere in the world we go. 'local' food is always inferior to our cuisine.

our stag parties are legendary. we'll make a whole weekend of it and go to places like prague. the girls are cheap there and so is the booze. we can do whatever we want there. it's great.

and the best thing is that we can do it all with impunity because everyone knows that the americans are the ugly ones! life is great.
