The Lakes to Malpensa

How long does it take to go from Bellagio to Malpensa? How long does it take from the Villa D'Este to Malpensa? I'd hate to miss my flight back to the states -- hmmm.

If you are staying at the Villa d'Este you can probably afford the hotel limo.
Failing that there is an hourly bus service from Como. The hotels should have the details.

Sorry I did'nt read your question properly. About 1 hour from Villa d'Este, up to 3 hours from Bellagio.

Michael

You don't say how you are travelling, but if it is by car, then Bellagio to Malpensa probably wouldn't take much more than 2 hours if you need to return a hire car etc. 3 hours would be pretty generous, but probably a good idea as the traffic around Como can be dreadful and nearly sunk our chances of catching the flight home before! Villa D'Este would be around 1 hour as stated above.

It should take no more than two hours from Bellagio to Malpensa, less if there is no traffic. The Bellagio-to-Como part can take an hour or more, depending on traffic, while the Como to Malpensa part is a breeze.

If you are driving from Bellagio, you can actually skip Como all together by crossing on the ferry to Mennaggio (sp) and driving south from there, veering toward Malpensa as signposted. As Howard says, it really shouldn't take more than 2 hours. (We've done it in an hour!)
