Maybe a la carte apartments will have something else that suits your dates. Can't hurt to try.

I rented one from Guest Services (Dahlia) on the Quai Bourbon two years ago, and the location was great. The Pont Marie Metro is just across the bridge, and there was a fabulous patisserie downstairs and around the bend.

Too bad Paris Vacation Apartments doesn't have one for your dates. Theirs on the Palais Royal gardens are incredible.

It looks nice. I'm trying to figure out another one I thought of, so if you can wait a little while I'll come back to you.

The ala carte one is also good, but there isn't a lift and you will have a fair bit of stuff to lug up the stairs every day.

I posted this company AGES ago and you never commented...they had about 10 two bedroom apartments available for your dates in the 1st....now they have 4 but the price range is €1600 a week and we used them in 2009 and the flat was super clean and in a great location.

They all look really good jamikins. The Jean Beauvois is in the area Claire's mother is interested in. Price is right. Opera design and Sebastopol are bigger though which would be more interesting to me with 2 kids and all their stuff in tow.

I was thinking of the company we stayed with but they don't have any 2 bedders, so abandon that idea.

The other idea is a hotel, hotel clement is good and also close to the Jardin du Luxembourg - http://hotelclementparis.com/

Ok Claire, lots of good ideas this afternoon, pick one and book it! As you can see, your choices are narrowing every day.

I would never spend that amount of money for a week, especially with 2 toddlers.
Like someone mentioned - can you imaging the security deposit, and have you asked if they will accept children. The owners may not want small children. I know if i had that apartment I would not allow anyone under the age of 50

have you tried www.vacationinparis.com

try this site Claire.
It is Australian and rents out properties owned by Australians.
there are paris apartments. I think that at this late stage you really cannot be too choosy, so long as it is in a good location, you can always take the metro to get to the Lux gardens.

Hi,
I am not sure why I never saw your link jamikins . . I have enquired with them on 2 of the ones listed. Great price!

Cathies . .I sent the hotel an email to see what they can offer.

millie I have tried vacation in paris and thank you so much for the other link! I have now sent them an email as well.

I am sure this will be sorted out in the next 24hrs since I have had to learn this the hard way!

Thank you to everyone who has stayed patient with me and has helped me so much! I really appreciate it!

Hi crazy
When my wife and I stayed in Paris the first time several years ago we rented from the site http://www.vacationinparis.com. We were quite happy with our Montparnasse apartment with balcony looking at the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides in the distance. Check them out. You can also call their 800 number in New Jersey and they can offer advice via phone. At least they used to do so.

Yes they were great . .it was just a shame that they didn't have any 2 bed apartments for us this time.

I have had confirmation that this one is available

The Jean Beauvois through http://www.myparisvisit.com

Thanks jamikins ... you saved me a small fortune . .I just said to mum that I can now buy my bag from Louis on that saving! They are holding it for me for 48hrs

AGAIN as always huge thank you

We also had success with our one week stay in Uzes ..got a great apartment overlooking the main square through french cottages . . .they have been just wonderful!

So at this stage I have sorted FRANCE!

We've just come back from Paris - stayed on Ile St. Louis at a 3 bedroom, 2 bath. However, there are lots of stairs, so it may not be good for small kids (mine are ages 9, 11, and 12 years).

I have used Paris Vacation Apartments for one in Palais Royal that we loved and also used them in London for a Mews house. I can recommend them. I would consider just emailing them with your dates and asking if they have anything available.

edited to add: looks like you have a place. good work.
