The Impossible Dream? Cheap accomodations outside Positano?
 

Three friends will be in the Positano area just for one night on August 12th. They're looking for two inexpensive rooms (no more than $100/night) with air conditioning. They'll have a car, so they can drive to their destination.
Is this even a possiblity? HELP!

If your friends are willing to stay on the north side of the peninsula in Sorrento, rather than Positano's south side, let them know about the Hotel Il Nido. It's the right price and very highly regarded. It's nestled up in the hills outside of the town and has great views. I'm pretty sure it has a/c, but you could doublecheck that on their website, which has, BTW, all sorts of great tourist info!
