Oh dear - so very sorry to read this.

Hoping the surgery goes well and that you recover comfortably and promptly.
How unfortunate that having hiked in some amazing mountain places in Europe you have an accident at home.

Sending very best wishes, and please do not wear out your good hand in replying.

Very sorry to hear about the accident, Mel! Speedy recovery!

Sorry to read of your unfortunate accident. Was wondering why there was no daily posting of your mini trip to Durango and Mesa Verde!

Hope your probable surgery goes well and your recovery goes smoothly.

So sorry to hear about your wrist, Mel, and hope you have a good recovery.

KayF Jun 23rd, 2020 12:55 AM

Mel, hope your wrist is not too painful. Horrible thing to happen. I bet you are glad that if you had to take a spill, it happened at home where you speak the same language and don't need to hassle with travel insurance. Hope you get good medical care and lots of pampering while recovering.

Our Queensland border is still shut to the rest of Australia, in a bid to limit COVID-19 cases. We just enjoyed a relaxing few days up on the coast.

Hi Mel! You and I were struggling with Europe travel the same time in March.

sorry to hear of your recent injury :(

we’ve just completed a US quick vacation- look in the US board for a trip report soon. Since we couldn’t travel internationally, decided to find a state more open than our state.

Good luck healing!

Appreciate the well wishes! The bad news is that it's broken in three places (and is my dominant hand), the good news is that I may not need surgery after all. Will find out next week.

oh that's bad luck. I hope that there is good news about the surgery and that it's not too much of a nuisance to you.

Mel!

Thanks so much for adding the link to this report on another thread! My nephew and his girlfriend will be here next month, and re-reading the TR let me know I'd forgotten a few things for Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Salzburg.

Thanksthanks!
