the Best Paris Apartment
 

Just returned from 21 days in Europe, the last 6 in a wonderful apartment in Paris. 7th district with an incredible view of the Eiffel tower. We had a large apartment with kitchen, good sized living room, dining area, balcony, 1 1/2 baths, large bedroom. Beautifully decorated - Perfect in every way. www.parisperfect.com. Madelyn and Phillipe were wonderful to deal with. They have about 6 apartments in Paris and flat in London. We stayed in Cabernet on Rue St. Dominque and can highly recommend it. Shar

We just spent a total of 9 days in Paris and decided to definitely rent an apt next time, so I am glad to get a recommendation. Do you mind posting how much yours cost?

I think it was $250.00 a night and it was worth it. Check out the website, the apartment looked just like the pixs. Sometimes what you see isn't what you get but this one was. It really was Paris Perfect. The living room had a lovely couch that was also a hide-a-bed but supposedly more comfortable than American hide-a-beds so 3 could share the apartment. 4 might be a little tight but then I like my privacy so it might work for some. Shar...I'm considering the Cabneret for a trip in 2004. Is the bedroom quiet and free from street noise? It appears to look out over an internal courtyard,so I'm hoping it will be quiet,even with the windows open.

Just for comparison...
We returned a week ago from Paris, where we spent a week in a GREAT apartment --suitable for two people-- on Rue du Renard, diagonally opposite the Hotel de Ville, a few doors north of Rue de Rivoli. I found it on DrawbridgetoEurope.com, who were very helpful in the planning stages, and it cost about $1000 a week. The pictures on the website (unit #916 if you go look) don't do it justice; the apartment and location were just fantastic.
Just my two cents' (or thousand dollars!) worth...

clayr, that pricing sounds a lot better to me. Fabulous location, too, if it was not too noisy.

Wow, Shar, I just looked at the Paris Perfect website and I AM impressed. Especially if you say it really looked like that (you know what those wide angle lenses can do!). It just made me want to turn around and zip straight back to Paris (just returned 3 days ago).

My apartment was on an inside courtyard --not very scenic but definitely quiet. Third floor (elevator), with two nice skylights. Oh, and positively the biggest bathtub I've been in in a long time... and I'm a "bath" person!

Yes the bedroom was very quiet. In fact the whole place was quiet as all the windows were replaced with double glass windows whenthey remodeled. Remodeled yet oh so charming and a king sized bed in the bedroom - waht a treat! when the balcony doors were opened in the living room there was noise but not in the back where the bedroom was as it does look into an inner courtyard - not as attractive as the front view (Eiffel tower) but so what.
