You guys saw right through me. I guess I was pretty tactless and for that I apologize. I was just looking for some leads since I obviously know very little about Mediterranean travel. A BIG thank you to those of you who made some suggestions and tried to help me. I really appreciate it. Everyone else, I'm deeply sorry I wasted your time. Lesson learned.

I am dismayed, shocked, appalled and deeply hurt by such a blatant, insensitive and abhorrent disregard for the extremely high standard of co-operation and fellowship shared here by all the sincere contributors from someone not willing or able to do their own research who instead ask others to do it for them using the ruse of asking for advice in planning a trip. I'm going to my room to cry now.......:((

What I found perplexing in the original post was the way it asked for "the best" of everything. We get our fair share of questions that don't seem to have much thought behind them, like "where should I go?" without giving a hint about past experiences and personal preferences etc.

But "the best"? I know, it's the internet, people type before they engage their brains, but asking for the "best place to dive" for example? Is there anybody on this planet who has been diving in all diving spots in all 21 countries, to be in a position to say which is BEST?

Or has anyone rented cars from all the rental companies and their franchises in all 21 countries to be able to say which is "best"?

Of course not.

To ask something like that is just moronic - never mind the underhandedness of the lame subterfuge.

>>You guys saw right through me.<<

That wasn't difficult. :-D

Have you thought about a career move? I hear they have some openings at McDonalds. ;-)

CristinaG:

You admit you know nothing about the Mediterranean. Take a trip here and "See the Mediterranean as it should be seen," which is the Croatian National Tourist Bureau mantra.
How could you begin to think that you could write about an area you've never seen?
However I, for one, do accept your apology.
