I'm now able to narrow down my request.

Following a private tour of the Musee d'Orsay, we'll be seeking "the best" croque madame for brunch/lunch on Saturday (3 Sep). Suggestions near the museum, preferably in easy walking distance?

(We can see the Marais Poilane from our window!)

Report ... we went to Chez Flottes and it was EXTRAORDINARY. Our entire group enjoyed one of the four delicious croque madames, all on Poilane bread. From Orsay it was an easy walk across the Seine and through the gardens.

Thank you "oakglen" for the suggestion!
