How many times are you planning on getting married ? I think the first few are probably fairly obvious - Paris, Venice, Florence, Prague & Tallinn if we're talking cities. Generally speaking Provence, a Greek Isle (take your pick), the Adriatic Coast, the Cinque Terre or Iceland.

Are you talking about actual wedding destinations or honeymoon ones?

Many of the europeans countries have complicated rules and residence requirements for any foreigners wishing to get married there. And doing it without a top notch planner/translator can be extremely difficult. (Many of the celebrities you see "married" in europe have alredy been married at home and are merely celebrating the event in europe - due to the many restrictions/complications.

(For instance, I beleive in France you have to be resident 40 days before any wedding. And all marriages are civil, with a religious ceremony to follow if youlike. In Italy you need to provide official translations of all sorts of documents - birth/baptismal certificates, proof that you are single - etc - for official review and approval before you an be married.)

It CAN be done many places - but is often extremely time-consuming and expensive.

If you look for posts below you will find some examples. Or you could look at the knot.com for info.

I do hope that once is enough (I love my wife) but there is many fantastic and romantic places to go.
Location, Location and location is the keyword - and by following wedding destinations you will very often find some fabulous and unique places.

If you are looking for countries where it is easy for foreigners to get married (places like the Caribbean), I think England or Scotland are fairly easy, and also Italy and the Czech Republic. I don't think you have to be a resident in those countries to get married there--at least not more than maybe 7 days. Most countries require a longe residency of a month or more, and then there is always a lot of paperwork in many, even then. Both Spain and France have longer requirements.

I think it is pretty easy to get married in Denmark. Greece doesn't have long residency requirements, but the paperwork can take a while.

It's very easy in Mexico and the Caribbean, and the US, and I think Thailand, also.

I don't know if this makes the 5 best but it is a very popular destination for weddings and that is Cyprus. There are some great venues like Aphrodite Hills, The Four Seasons (not part of the real Four Seasons chain).

I would say definitely in an atmospheric castle in Scotland. Packed with history, charm, intrigue, beauty, and bliss.

My son got married in a lighthouse - that was a pretty amazing location, but wouldn't rank as a top five wedding destination. I can't imagine what they would be or why you would choose somewhere like that, rather somewhere that means something to you both. Unless you are eloping, in which case Las Vegas would be my choice just because it's kind of a cliché to get married there.
