The Amazing Race-New Day and Time

Did you see the promos tonight? CBS has moved our show to Wednesdays at 8pm!

sandi Mar 31st, 2006 04:01 AM

A great scheduling change.
That 10pm really had me stretching to keep awake... though I did have the VCR set. Too often I faded about 15-minutes in.

sandi_travelnut Mar 31st, 2006 05:49 AM

Good to know. I only watch 2 shows regularly and that's one of them. I can't miss it!

Keith Mar 31st, 2006 05:54 AM

8PM? That means 7PM Central. Really bad move for me.

The ratings have been so bad at 10pm that they had to do something!

They should have put "The Unit" at 10pm and kept TAR at 9pm on Tuesdays, but I'll take this.

Anyone have any idea where they are going to be this next week? The promos look alot like eastern Sicily and I am curious?

Keith Mar 31st, 2006 06:48 AM

The good news it that CBS bought two more races to air in the 1006-2007 season.

Yay, I don't teach Wed night so I won't miss the beginning now.

Barbara Mar 31st, 2006 07:34 AM

Keith, that IS good news. I was afraid that with the abysmal ratings, CBS would give up on it.

thx for the heads-up TAR fans...I hadn't heard and you saved me from a panic-attack moment as I click madly from one channel to the next...LOL!!

Enjoy-la!

sandi_travelnut Apr 5th, 2006 02:46 PM

Don't forget!! It's tonight at an earlier time...

dutyfree Apr 5th, 2006 05:22 PM

Did anyone see it tonight? They ended up in Ortigia(old part of Siracusa) Sicily where my daughter is spending her semester abroad. Actually 3 blocks from her apartment! I am in shock and thrilled-glad we taped it for her return. Sorry to see the nerds leave-wished it was Lake.......don't get me started?

Catbert Apr 5th, 2006 06:08 PM

dutyfree, How fun for you to see your daughter's neighborhood. I'm with you with respect to Lake.

Kristinelaine Apr 5th, 2006 06:26 PM

It is refreshing to see some loving, kind people on the show, even if they are kind of put down for being "nerds". It is too bad that they lost.

dutyfree Apr 5th, 2006 07:54 PM

I told my husband that this show is becoming very addictive. I am actually bidding my schedule around it so I can be home to see it. I wonder when they are going to have the over 50 and out of shape groups participate????

Barbara Apr 5th, 2006 08:27 PM

Well, Fran and Barry are over 60 and the newly Philiminated Nerds are pretty out of shape!

sandi_travelnut Apr 5th, 2006 09:45 PM

The towns they visited were beautiful! I cannot stand to listen or look at Lake.
