Thanksgiving in London

We plan to be in London for Thanksgiving. Are there any restaurants that serve an American Thanksgiving dinner?

I was in London last year for Thanksgiving. I don't remember any of them specifically catering to that since it is not their holiday. (I did go to a restaurant and order turkey for dinner off their regular menu).

I actually did this a few years ago at Simpsons on the Strand. I don't have their info on me at the moment. Our B&B hosts referred us to Simpsons because of their carvery and they felt they would be traditional. As odd as it may seem, they also suggested that any large hotel catering to businessmen would probably also offer a Thanksgiving menu. We had a lovely meal at Simpsons and I highly recommend them, however, you might want to give them a call first so that you won't be disappointed.

I seem to remember the American Embassy having some sort of event. I could be wrong. You should get in touch with them, though -- they should have suggestions and ideas for you.

If you went to a college that has a club in London, they also might have a Thanksgiving event.

There are quite a few restaurants that put on Thanksgiving for expats. Time out always run a section on it, as does the Evening standard. I have no idea how "authentic" these places are as it really is an americans-only activity.
