Thanks Rex!!!

Over the past month or so I have been planning a trip to Italy with my daughter. I have asked quite a few questions on this forum and received quite a lot of response. A big majority of the great info I have received has come from Rex and I really appreciate it. I have also noticed alot of negative attitudes toward him by other posters, I just wonder why. He has been great to steer me to good info. Thanks Rex. P.S. I have also received quite a bit of "down your nose" type answers to some of my serious questions. This has not come from Rex but from some of you who seem to be putting off on Rex.

You're very welcome - - and I appreciate your kind comments.

Yes he really is helpful and his information is extensive and accurate.

I am amazed by Rex. I think that either Rex is actually a travel information machine being secretly developed by the government or there are really 5 Rexes on this site. How does he know all this stuff - and how does he find the time to write it all? Nevertheless, thanks Rex. I am off to Paris tomorrow night (if JFK isn't flooded!) and I hope to use a lot of Rex's (and others) advice.
Thanks.

Rex Mar 21st, 2001 04:18 PM

Yes, I am a machine - - burp... excuse me - - ate too much data for supper...
jk Mar 21st, 2001 04:31 PM

One nice thing is he individualizes the information he gives which a machine can't do. Or is he just a very sphisticated model?

Rex Mar 21st, 2001 04:36 PM

I have to leave to go watch television for a while.

Sagittal... suture... starting to split...
OK we'll keep talking about you while you're away. Isn't it nice you're getting some credit tonight? This thread attracts the people who like your posts.

also great references to web pages

Jim Rosenberg Mar 21st, 2001 06:51 PM

Yeah, yeah... Now let's not have Rex O.D.-ing on admiration, okay? How much encouragement do you think he really needs? :o)

Holly Mar 21st, 2001 07:08 PM

Rex? A sophisticated model? Are you referring to the picture that Judyrem posted a few days ago?

xxx Mar 21st, 2001 08:05 PM

The perpetrator of this funny little mischief was never actually identified. It wasn't Judy herself. cmt, was it you?

Author: Judy ([email protected])
Date: 3/09/2001, 11:49 pm ET

Message: Oh my goodness! He actually mailed it to me! So I put it on my web page!

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/H...hirtless42.jpg

Art Mar 21st, 2001 08:22 PM

Judy, where did you get my picture???
kalena Mar 21st, 2001 08:57 PM

C'mon Art. That's my friend Kalani, confirmed eye-candy and major hunk. Neither you or Rex want his hapa cousins finding out where YOU are, posseurs the both of you.

kalena Mar 21st, 2001 09:13 PM

By the way, I dumped him because he was too shabby.

Lynne Mar 21st, 2001 10:58 PM

I second all the praise for Rex. His information is useful and to the point. What a tremendous amount of time he gives to help others!

xxx Mar 22nd, 2001 12:21 AM

Yes, what some people overlook is he sometimes does some research for them and is not just writing the first thing that pops into his mind. Very very helpful.

Judy Mar 22nd, 2001 05:14 AM

No, it was not me! I was completely zonked out after having a FEW margaritas, with chips and salsa! After all, it WAS a Fri. nite! I very rarely stay up that late, I must be getting (gasp) OLD. BTW, I can not pull up that pic. of a "Rex" wannabe?

Eva Mar 22nd, 2001 06:51 AM

I think he is very helpful also. He really does take the time to help you out -even personally emailing you )if you've posted with a real one of course). People get too sensitive on these boards and maybe what he posts doesn't "read" correctly to some. I hope he sticks around.

He has been quiet today. Maybe this thread soothed him.
