Thanks lreynold1,etc who helped contribute to successful Portugal itin.

We just returned yesterday. We loved the country...so beautiful!

I just wanted to thank all those the contributed to my earlier threads. When I have time, I'll fill in on the details.

Hi, MFNYC,
Glad to hear you had a great trip -- I'm looking forward to reading your trip report. Did you make it to the Douro Valley or did you get rained out?

Yes. Here's a link to my photos on snapfish (you need a snapfish account to log in) http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/sh...=SYE/otsi=SAER

The day we arrived (Porto), Fri, 10/8, it was chilly and drizzly, and then turned to heavy rain later in the afternoon. We stuck to our original plan. On Saturday morning when we awoke, the sky was a bit cloudy, but not too bad. We drove to Pinhao and then took the train. It ended up being a beautiful sunny day. Once we got back to Porto, the clouds returns and it rains a little but not too bad. After that the weather, for the most part was very nice.
