I have been away, from home, from laptop and just discovered the changes right this minute-I am one of those oldtime 'regulars' who is just now 'stepping up to the plate'. Didn't want Kate to think I am not 'on board', just as soon as I 'get my sealegs' (there, I think I have mangled all the travel metaphors into one incomprehenisble response).

Did someone mention an online tutorial or site tour? Where is that?

Katie, I think we've turned a corner. I just scrolled down all the posts for the day (way more than 50 and all on one page) and only the very earliest still has some negativity in the title. The rest are either posts about here, there and everywhere in Europe, or posts with some positive slant on the changed site. It was a tough week, but you and Fodors, and all of us, seem to have survived.

You really deserve a lot of credit. You put a personality on Fodors and you responded positively, as our "friend with the geeks"--who are probably pretty decent people too, if we only knew them.

Change is never easy, but there is change that you can get through and change that just drives people nuts--and away. I think that your efforts kept the community together.

We will survive and grow stronger. (Break into some kind of song at this point.)
