Thanks from Danny at Fodors.com to Dr. Betty and you!

Hi all --

We're sitting here with Dr. Betty Fordor in our posh offices enjoying the fine Brolio Chianti Classico from everyone.

Betty now has us all lying down on couches and is systematically analyzing us. This will take a while!

Many, many thanks from all of us here.

Danny Mangin
Editorial Director
Fodors.com

Sharon --

I couldn't decide, so I'd gone with a two-tone. Pink on one side, black on the other. All stretch!

Because of the freedom of movement this has afforded me, I was able to push a case of wine on a handcart, running all the way uptown.

I'm here with Aisling (the producer), Dave (community coordinator), Matt (editorial staff), Jinny (design), and Danny, having a great time.

Dr. Betty Fordor

Can't go wrong with two-tone! I especially like the idea of the black in back...helps hide the seat dirt on those oh-so fast-paced travel days. And, of course, you get the essential color thing going with the pink in front... besides, gives fair warning to your sidewalk buddies when running with the ole' hand cart! (is it one of those fold-ups that you can store in the overhead?)
I can only assume you had on your white sneakers...

Anyway! You guys have Fun!!!

All right. Hold it right there, Betty. I believe you were only authorized to provide a single bottle of middling wine to our gracious internet hosts. Instead, you seem to have unilaterally chosen to present a case of some fancy swill. Well, I, for one, am not paying for this, so please tear up the check I sent for $1.23.

All the best!

Well, we're all off the couch now. Turns out we're a lot worse off than we thought, but Dr. Betty has worked her therapeutic magic on us. Mmm. Mmm. The world now seems like a much better place.

And off she goes on her next New York adventure.....

Danny

Now Danny, I thought you guys were doing great, at least that's my last recollection of everyone, but of course, that was after the wine had taken effect.

Thank you all for this wonderful site and allowing me a glimpse of the inner operations and the honor of meeting you.
And you know, for the therapy to last, it's going to require follow up visits.

Mille Grazie, Grazie Mille
Dr. Betty

Danny, I've been a patient of Dr. Betty Fordor's for years and she has really helped me, a whole lot! I'm jealous though. She never gave ME wine before I laid down on her couch.
Really Really looking forward to your photos on Monday! Thanks for writing.
And, oh yes, just want to thank you all at Fodors for going back to the OLD format. And for listening!

Hi Danny, I'd like to add my thanks for your responsiveness and for listining to us regarding the formats for the forum. It's a great site and I've learned a lot the last 1 1/2 years in my travels. Interesting note, I found the forum by buying your travel books and finding the web site inside the cover. Again thanks a lot.
Fodorphiles,
This trip was inspired by you. My pilgrimage to the site of the Fodor gods, and sipping the ceremonial wine (too bad you can't see the color through the styrofoam)was wonderful. To complete the picture with some ambience, we played music from Big Night on Danny's computer, had fresh italian bread, genoa salami, linzer torte cookies, marzipan and almonds from Jerry's Nut House (a Denver buddy of mine). I swore my allegiance to this site and confirmed for them, in person, that I never visit any of their competitor site. I mean, jeesh, who would have time for that. I have a hard enough time pulling myself away from here for my real psychotherapy practice.

So rest assured, the mother ship is in good hands, incredibly competent people, brilliant, funny, friendly, warm, and they know a whole lot about travel and places behind. I just warm to think of them all.

Well, best get back to the day to day.
God Bless!
Dr. Betty

Have you all checked out the photos of Dr. Betty and the cast and crew of Fodors? Well, I only have one thing to say. They are all unbelievably good looking! And Dr. Betty, for some reason, I pictured you as an older, worldly grand dame, and I now find that you are a come-hither, beautiful young thing.

Perhaps we'll have to suggest that Fodor's add photos of Fodorites. Now that's a new board I'd be willing to visit.

Word has it that the US Forum may be feeling neglected. So let me tell you all about NYC. Danny suggested that I take a cab, instead of the bus cross town to Lincoln Center. Told me to cross the steet and get a cab going North on Park Ave. It had been a long time since I've to the megalopolis and hailing a cab is not easy matter. Some of the cabs had their lights on, I thought those were the ones I should Hail, but alas, they were full, like every other yellow car on the street. Then I thought, oh my god, there is some technique that must work out here to draw the cab to you, but woe is me, I had not a clue as to what that might be. I saw a male pedestrian standing half way out in the street with his arm held up and I thought that must be it. I tried it too, but not for long, and decided on the bus after all. NYC is looking real good these days. Times Square at night reminded me of Las Vegas but with class.

Greetings to the US.

Dr. Betty
