Thanks Fodors for fixing the return after posting glitch.

How nice this morning to be able to post a reply to a message and not be taken back to the first post. Thanks for fixing that annoying little problem.

Do you think they also fixed the € problem? And maybe the é and à problem as well? Well... It survives an edit, apparently.

Maybe they have. Here's instructions:

I THINK typing the symbol for a euro directly would work, but, if that doesn't you can just type € or à or é ... Wow, this is interesting. I wonder if the ampersands will now survive. Yep, they do too...

So, the moral of the story is, that fodors now accepts HTML entities, which you can find at http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/sgml/entities.html

It shows you how to do such things as ∫ (∫) Integral

or ♥ (♥) Heart

I guess you'd say it's the α and the ω of html entities.

Works on my browser, anyway...

Yea! Just replied from around message #130 and voila! went right back there. Thanks, guys.

Notice a few glitches with spacing when replying and with fonts today though.

I'm gonna try to do a Euro sign now: @Euro

Betsy May 16th, 2003 01:50 PM

Oh shoot. I typed @Euro instead of the ampersand and Euro. Here goes again: &Euro

Betsy May 16th, 2003 01:52 PM

Hmm, Bozo &Euro comes up just as typed. Is there something else I should know?

BozoTheClown May 16th, 2003 02:48 PM

Betsy, I think it's case sensitive maybe? Also, it _has_ to have a semi-colon at the end... So:
&Euro; doesn't appear to work, nor does &euro ... It _has_ to be €

€ (see the semi-colon?)

BTW, did you see the heart or the integral?

stevek May 16th, 2003 03:12 PM

€
& euro ; (with no spaces)

Betsy May 16th, 2003 04:05 PM

Yea! Finally! Why a semi-colon this time, I wonder? It wasn't necessary when we had the € a while back.
