TigerLily- welcome back and thanks for the enjoyable report. Sounds like you had a nice balance of business and pleasure. I'll have to take a little walk, I think I gained a pound just reading it! I regret that this past spring I didn't do a little more fine & regional dining out, mostly casual cafe lunches and people-watching. I'll just have to go back! For now, I will be living vicariously through the Forum until I can return to Paris. I was surprised to see all black, gray and camel in April. I would have thought you'd see pastels and brights. Did the women wear summer dresses and skirts? Just curious. I have my own tried & true travel basics and I don't deviate too much from them anyway, probably like your business wardrobe.
