If you're on the DLR DO NOT get off at Greenwich!

Get off at Greenwhich Maritime which puts you smack bang in the old town.

Greenwich is the overland train station - which is a bit of a hike into town.

The two stations on the Docklands Light Railway are called Greenwich and Cutty Sark. The station nearest to the historic sights of Greenwich and the river is called Cutty Sark.

Actually Geoff's right - it's called "Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich".

Anyway - don't get off at Greenwich for Greenwich (I sometimes think we do this on purpose to baffle the foreigns).

Okay. If you are coming from bank station then does cutty sark station come before the Greenwich station? We will know to get off at Cutty Sark just wondering which comes first. On the London transport web page the DLR service doesn't show the stops, or at least I can't figure out how to get the listing of stops on the DLR like I can do with the buses.

It's on the tube map. It's really hard to get wrong. The train tells you where you are and there are signs all over.

If you do end up at Greenwich, just come out of the station, walk down the little hill, turn left and its a five minute walk.

CW where did you eat in Blackheath? I only remember some very expensive tapas places 'el pirata' was one i rembemer, a fish and chip shop and that was it. basic pizas at O degrees and chapter one for those with more money than sence. Price of Wales was poor and the Hare and Billet good for pint little else. Blackheath isnt known as the poor mans Hamstead for nothing.

There's a decent ruby mongers called Cinamon Club, there a Strada for spendy cheese on toast, A good Italian by the station (but a bit hidden).

What more do you want.
