TGV train from Provence region

Hi a bit confused about the TGV train stations in Provence region.

I need to get to Barcelona on a holiday weekend May8th 2023.Putting the pieces together and will be in Luberon area-or Pont du Gard region haven’t decided.Obviously I want a hassle free exit as I believe the TGV trains are 8 am about.I have read there are departures from Aix and Nimes are there more stations to choose from and are all stations daily,

Direct trains depart Nimes at 9:08, 1:14, and 3:58 for the 3 1/2 hr trip. A train departs at Aix at 8:18, stops in Avignon at 8:40, then again in Nimes at 9:08. All of these trains also stop in Montpellier. However, on a holiday weekend, the schedule could be different.

It's too early to know train times for next may. But it is easy to know in general what cities you can depart from. I think there is one line that comes down from Paris to Barcelona and another that starts in Marseille. Of course you can get there from any place that has a rail station, you just may need to transfer in Avignon or something.

If you check schedules, you can see what the other stops are. But basically you have Marseille, Aix, Avignon, Nimes and Montpellier to choose from in that general area for direct trains to Barcelona.

Basically I think there are two AVEs/TGVs that do that route, one starts in Paris and another starts in Marseille. The one that starts in Paris will stop in Nimes and Montpellier in mid-afternoon, around 4 pm. The one that starts in Marseille also stops in Aix and Avignon before Nimes, but it starts from Marseille around 8 am or so.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 05:37 PM.
