TGV to Bordeaux from CDG?

Our train tickets just arrived in the mail. We are taking the TGV to Bordeaux. Three years ago we had to go into Paris by airport bus and then take a taxi to Mont Parnasse then the TGV to Bordeaux. The tickets this time say CDG to Bordeaux. Is it true that the TGV will go from the airport? If it is do you know how one gets from U.S. arrival via Air France to the train? Thank you.

Yes direct TGVs Roissy to Bordeaux - takes just over 4 hours and no hassle going into Paris. Leave from TGV station in terminal 2 - where i think Air France lands. Most other trans-Atlantic flights serve terminal 1 from where a free navette, shuttle bus, goes to the TGV Gare. the train goes around Paris, via a stop at EuroDisney (Marne la Vallee station) and Massy in Parisian southern suburbs then via Tours to Bordeaux.

Yes the TGV now goes to the Charles de Gaulle airport. The train stop is in terminal 2, where all Air France, Delta, Continental, British Airways flights arrive. You can take a shuttle to Terminal 1, where United, US Airways, Lufthansa, BMI British Midland fly into (check your tickets to find which terminal it will arrive/depart into).

I did it in November. Well, I took the TGV to Bordeaux but got off in Poitiers. On the return I went from Bordeaux directly to CDG.

At CDG T2 which is where Air France operates, you can walk from any concourse (A thru F) to the TGV station. It's not always well marked. The signage tends to send you to the shuttle bus that circles T2. It can take up to 20 minutes (or more) to "lap" T2 in the shuttle bus. I can walk from any T2 concourse in less time than that.

Hi art,

A map of CDG 2, showing the location of the TGV station is at http://www.adp.fr/webadp/a_cont01.nsf/$$Affich@ReadForm&cle=X5005A05A4.html

I do this with some frequency. You're in terminal 2 when you arrive on Air France. TGV station is in Hall F, a long walk, but there are people movers and yellow overhead signs pointing you to Gare SNCF. The trip normally takes just a bit more than 3 hours, not 4.
