TGV Seating

When ordering 1st class seats , Avignon TGV to Paris, one choice I get is lounge, both upper and lower . Can anyone describe lounge seating?

I think it's a group of seats at the end of the car (about 6) that are together and it was supposed to be for groups who wanted a business meeting or something like that. I don't know why a single person would ever book it. It's more seats than the usual group of four (two facing each other with a table) that many families book in the middle of the cars. I think it may be two sets of 3 facing each other but not big table in-between--it's 6-8 seats. The arm rests have little tables sort of like some airline seats.

I don't think you want them instead of regular seats. They are called "salon" seats, I thought. I don't think these seats are as comfortable as regular ones.

Scroll down to "Thalys PBA 5.jpg" in the following site.

They're designed for business meetings and so forth. You likely don't want them.

But if you are forced to take them for lack of other seats being available, it is not a tragedy.

Thanks. I will make sure not to select those seats.
